We hope this finds you and your loved ones safe during these uncertain times. Who would have ever thought that this would happen? It is like a bad dream come to life!

The pandemic has been a life changing event for all of us. At the Commodores Inn it has taken the ‘wind out of our sails’ leaving us all in the doldrums and isolated ‘riding out this storm’ without our wonderful guests to brighten our days. Thankfully as human beings we are naturally resilient and slowly but surely, by coming together and supporting each other with faith, love and encouragement, we are learning to navigate a “new normal”.

We have taken this virus very seriously and have been thinking of the safety of our guests, our employees as well as ourselves. We are working diligently and taking extra steps to make sure that everything in the building will be sanitized repeatedly under the guidelines for the COVID-19 pandemic to keep everyone safe and healthy. We will be ‘ship shape’ and ready to open our doors again as soon as we are given the green light. Once the ‘stay home, stay safe order’ has been lifted, your Commodores Inn family will offer you a calm, safe haven away from the ‘rough waters’ where you can come and ‘lower your sails’ and relax at our friendly ‘port of call’.

For the time being, we wish for you all to continue to stay strong, careful and vigilant in respecting and following your state guidelines for the sake of yourselves, your loved ones and most of all for the sake of all of our medical personal as well as all essential workers who are working diligently to keep us safe and healthy.

Spring has finally arrived giving a huge boost to our morale. The grass is greening up and there is a light shade of green starting to coat the trees. We have done some spring cleaning and first mate Carrie, who has been working daily on preparations for reopening, is just starting to get the pots and gardens ready for planting. Captain Bruce has been here every day making sure that the ship stays afloat. He has spent some of his afternoons sailing his remote controlled sailboat getting it tuned up for our Monday and Wednesday race series.

Having been quarantined at home for a while now, it is a great time to plan and dream of a future getaway.

There is plenty here to do to refresh and restore your spirits with continuing to respect a ‘social distance’ by giving everyone a wide berth. There are beautiful walking paths and hiking trails, quiet roads and trails for biking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing and much more.

In addition to our regular room discounts, to help recharge your batteries we are offering a….
